Rock On Chick-a-Dee
We have a rock star in the making! Bailee is taking on her dad's musical talent and learning how to play the guitar. She's had 6 weeks of lessons so far and she's doing great...and enjoying it! I don't even get a headache listening to her practice! She's a natural and I believe if she sticks with it she'll be playing Taylor Swift songs in no time! Rock On Girl!

A Red Day & A Green Day
I know Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day are long over with but here are the pictures I took of the kiddos on those days. The kids were excited to get these special Valentine's Day gifts sent from Daddy who was very far away at the time.
The kids enjoying the beautiful weather on St. Patrick's Day.

Great Wolf Lodge
With Alan's return we decided to take a mini family vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in Virginia...a super fun hotel with a super fun indoor water park. Although we had heard a lot about the G.W.L., this was our first time going. We left the day of Braden's birthday and spent the weekend there. What a blast it was! The kids had never experienced water slides before...they became big fans in about .02 seconds! Bailee and Braden did all but one water slide (The Tornado) and Brikelle worked her way up from the kiddie pool slides to the medium slides. Even Alan and I got to ride some slides together including The Tornado! Pictures of this weekend are limited because we were all too busy playing in the water! We hope to go back again soon!
Happy Birthday Braden!
On March 10th our Braden Boy turned 7! Feels like it was just yesterday that our chunk-a-lunk was just a baby. He is growing into a fine young boy! Braden got to have 2 days of birthday fun this year. The night before his birthday we had a party with Aunt Cami, the boys and our good family friends. We ate hot dogs, played some games, ate cake and ice cream and laughed...a lot! On the day of Braden's birthday Dad, Mom, and Brikelle took delicious chocolate donuts to his class at school. Afterwards we checked Bailee and Braden out early and headed to the Great Wolf Lodge in Virginia. Braden got to spend the night of his birthday and all weekend playing at the super fun indoor water park. As always he told us, "this is the best birthday ever!" Love you so much Braden Boy!
SURPRISE!!!
Another deployment down in history. With the help of our wonderful besties, we decided to surprise the kids with Dad's homecoming this time. The kids got to have a sleepover at our wonderful friends house and when I picked them up the next morning I brought someone with me. They were very surprised! The picture below is Brikelle saying "that's my daddy!" PRICELESS! It is so great to have our family back together again. Family is an amazing thing and there's nothing better than reuniting after a long time apart. WELCOME HOME ALAN!
