2nd Grade

It's official...Bailee is now in 2nd Grade! Today was her first day and she was super excited this morning and didn't act one bit nervous. I anxiously waited to pick Bailee up to hear about her day. She said she had a really good day and wants to go back tomorrow! I know she had a good day because when I asked her if she missed us today, she told me she really didn't think about us because she was too busy. I guess I should be happy about that right?! I think it's going to be another great year with another great teacher...and her two pals that have been in her Kindergarten class and 1st Grade class are in her 2nd Grade class along with some other girls she knows. Hooray for school!!!

Nothing like waking up to a bright flash in your eyes!
Waiting to take sister to school
This is what Braden thinks of it! He is patiently waiting for his turn...

"Hannah Tannah"

So on Saturday we're at the salon getting Bailee and Braden spiffied up for school. Other than one other girl, we were the only customers. Brikelle was having a good ol' time and being very chatty. As we are sitting there Miley Cyrus' The Climb comes on the radio. Brikelle gets these huge eyes and looks at me and says, "Hannah Tannah Mom!" Amazing...2 1/2 yrs old and she knows her music! Oh yeah, she can also sing along with Best of Both Worlds and Crazy. She amazes us!

A Good Visit

Aunt Kim and cousin Ashley took the time to drive down on Friday to visit us for a bit. The kids of course loved seeing them and we had a nice visit. Thank You Kim and Ashley...we love you!!!

Definitely a Princess

When we found out Brikelle was going to be a girl, we wondered if she would be as much of a girly girl as her big sister Bailee...Bailee was and still is very much a girly girl. Brikelle is now 2 1/2 and is every bit as much of a girly girl as her sister. Brikelle loves to be pretty and loves to be called a princess... she loves to wear dresses (especially her Cinderella dress...she wears it every day), necklaces & bracelets, loves the color pink, loves to dance, loves the Disney Princesses and knows every single one by name (which she learned on her own) and loves when we give her "princess hair". Her hair has gotten quite long and we can now pull it all back into "princess hair". She looks so grown up when her hair is pulled back. Here are a few pictures of our little princess with her princess hair.

Is that a face of a princess or what?!

Not only are we blessed with a beautiful little princess, we are also blessed with a handsome prince,
and another beautiful princess!

If Kate Gosselin can do it, so can I...

It started out with Brikelle eating a pudding cup for a snack and ended with Brikelle finger painting for entertainment!
As I dusted the living room, Brikelle innocently ate a pudding cup. After a few bites she decided dipping her finger in the cup and licking it was more fun. Then she thought she was funny when she had some on her face, "Mommy, look at Kelle's face". Next thing I know, she is happily finger painting and making designs on her tray. My first instinct was to get after her for making a mess but then I thought what the heck, she's making art and having a good time and if Kate Gosselin can let her kids body paint with pudding, then I can let mine finger paint on the tray!

Snowbird

I don't have any pictures to go with this post, but I wanted to list all the reasons I love Snowbird...

Grandma & Grandpa Hall (you two are missed!), swimming, eating G & G's snacks, game room, begging for more quarters, Grandpa always giving us more quarters (or dollars!), racing to the elevators, playing on the elevators, taking the stairs and trying to beat the elevator, ice machine, getting a piece of ice every time we walk past the machine, sticking pennies in the walls, trying to get pennies out of the walls, watching the tram, riding the tram, looking for deer, pretending to see the moving dot that is a deer and wondering how the heck Dad can see them without binoculars, being so happy when actually spotting the dot, lots of family, tamale pie dinners with all the family, not really liking tamale pie, eating in the hallway, Karen's birthday, ice cream cake roll, Judi teaching me how to play 52 card pick up, crying once learning how to play 52 card pick up, the forever loooong drive up the canyon, the too short of a drive down the canyon late at night, finally being old enough for the Jacuzzi, the cooler weather and wearing sweat shirts and sooo much more. I LOVE Snowbird and LOVE all the wonderful memories I have of Snowbird. Enjoy your week Mom and Dad!!!!!

A Fun Day

We had a fun day on Thursday...

It started with swimming at the pool with Aunt Cami and Skyler...

and ended with a Wii/pizza party with cousins Colton and Skyler. Alan bought the Wii Sports Resort...it has been so much fun! These pictures don't do justice but we were all laughing so hard when these 4 played the canoeing game...I was pretty much in tears! It was the funniest thing watching them try to "row" their boats! I highly recommend this game for anyone who has a Wii.

Our fun didn't end there, Friday night we had Uncle Rick and family over for a BBQ and some more Wii fun. Friday evening came with quite the rainstorm, but that didn't stop Alan from getting out there to grill our food. Thank goodness for big beach umbrellas!
On Saturday we took the kids to see the movie G-Force in 3D (only we didn't know it was going to be a 3D movie). That was the first 3D movie for all of us. We really enjoyed it and the movie was cuter than I thought it would be. I so wish we had a picture of all of us sitting there with our groovy glasses on...it was a site to see!
Sunday was church, naps, tacos and some more Wii playing. It was a good weekend and a good end to a 3 week leave. Today it's really back to reality with Daddy back to work...I guess the fun had to eventually end. School will be starting in about 3 weeks...crazy! It will be weird to be at home all day with just Brikelle...I'm sure I'll adjust quickly though! :)
