Monday Makings
With the holidays quickly approaching, I decided over the weekend that starting in the month of October I wanted to do a different craft with the kids every Monday as part of Family Home Evening. So although it's not officially October yet, we did our first craft today. We used finger paints and printouts to make paper plate pumpkins. The kids really enjoyed it and Brikelle thought it was great to stick her hands in the bowl of finger paint and rub it all over! So with each week and each craft I will post our makings for you to see!

SISTERS
I just wanted to post a picture of us sisters. I miss my sisters a lot and miss that our children aren't able to grow up together. It's not often that all 3 of us are able to be together, but when we are we have fun chatting and laughing! Just want you girls to know how much I love you and I'm so happy that you are my sisters!

This Weekend...
...we were happy to learn that Braden is a healthy boy despite some concerns,
we were part of Tropical Storm Hanna and although we had a lot of rain and some heavy winds, we're thankful that there was no damage to our home or surrounding area,

It's That Time Of Year Again!

As of last night the NFL season has officially started. What does that mean you ask? It means for the next 5 months or so there will be a lot of football watching and Fantasy Football playing going on in our house...which also means there will be some yelling at the t.v. in frustration and excitement! All I can say is GO BEARS!!!

Ever Wonder?
Ever wonder what Brikelle, Braden & I do during the day while Daddy is at work and Big Sister is at school? Usually nothing too exciting...a lot of cleaning & a lot of laundry, a few errands now and again, sometimes games or art or school stuff etc., etc.. Today after taking Bailee to school it felt so nice out so we decided to give the van (aka: Hannah Montana...will explain later!) a bath. I had two big helpers! End result...a very shiny & clean van and a very, very bubbly baby!

So back to the Hannah Montana thing. Quite awhile ago Braden named our Durango Max...he loves that name! He even has two army guy action figures that he has named Max. And there was a time that he would tell me he wanted his name to be Max and if I called him Braden he would tell me his name was Max. (Jinna, have I ever told you that?!) Silly boy! So of course when we got the van Bailee wanted to name it because Braden had named the Durango...so what name other than Hannah Montana! So today as we started washing the van Braden said, "We're going to make Hannah Montana nice and clean." What names if any do your vehicles have??

Weekend Get Away
We decided to take advantage of the long weekend and get out of town! We went to the beautiful mountains for a two day one night stay and had a good time. It was so pretty and the area that we were in reminded me a lot of Park City (for those of you from Utah!). Our adventures included shopping, eating out, swimming (it was an outdoor "heated" pool...when I hear the word "heated" I expect bath water temp! Brrr...it was cold but the kids didn't care!), going to the Tweetsie Railroad park (and made Braden's dreams come true by riding on an actual train) & taking a very pretty nature walk on a trail. We ended our trip with a quick visit to Aunt Kim's house (sorry, no pics). All in all, it was a fun weekend get away. Here are some pics of our adventures. Yes, I know that there is a lot but it was hard to pick just a few because the scenery was so pretty...enjoy!
