Monday Makings

This week we made bumblebees! We took two days to make this craft because the yellow finger paint had to dry overnight. The kids love to use the finger paints...it's one time they can actually be messy!

Silly kids showing me their yellow hands after paitning!

The next day we added the black stripes
Once the stripes dried we were able to glue on the eyes and stinger and tape on the wings
And here are the buzzing bees!

Team Work

One of the shows Brikelle likes to watch is the Wonder Pets...she likes Ming Ming. Bailee had fun a couple of weeks ago singing the theme song with Brikelle. It was cute so I had to get a clip of it to share! Be sure to pause the playlist at the very bottom of our blog so you can hear the girls!

OUCH!!!

My poor baby fell outside today and smacked her mouth on the sidewalk. I'm not sure what she did or how she fell...I was right there but had my back turned, but I heard the smack. At first I thought it was her knees and then Bailee yelled "Mom her mouth is bloody". When I saw the blood I wasn't sure what part of her mouth was bleeding. I was hoping she still had teeth...I fear my kids getting their teeth knocked out. I discovered her fat lip which is where some of the blood was coming from, but her top teeth were bleeding too. Thankfully they are still intact. I'm all paranoid though and I'm not sure if one is maybe a tiny bit wiggly or if it's my imagination. I'll keep checking! This is a hard age to let your kids be outside playing, they want to be so independent and they don't want help doing anything and they run everywhere, walking is not an option for them! Once Brikelle calmed down and while I was laying with her on the couch she said "broke Kelle's teeth". Poor thing! Just 3 years ago when Braden was this exact same age, he fell and smacked his face on the brick steps of the play house at my parent's house. So here is a picture of Brikelle's injury and Braden's injury...

Monday Makings

This was our craft this week. It was too difficult to take pictures and paint hands at the same time so I just have a picture of our final product. I must say those are some beautiful tulips!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all those wonderful mothers I know. I would like to wish my mom a very Happy Mother's Day and say thank you for being my mom. I'm also grateful that I'm able to be a mother to 3 beautiful little children...what blessings they are. I hope all you mothers have a wonderful weekend. I enjoyed a few early Mother's Day surprises. The first one was being able to go to a cute Mother's Day program that Bailee's class had. As we mothers walked in the room, our children greeted us and put beautiful corsages on our wrists. We also got surprised with bookmarks and a little booklet with a Mother's Day poem on the front. Bailee wrote the sweetest little letter on the inside. We then enjoyed 3 little reading skits followed by a cute song and refreshments. It was a very good afternoon. I was also surprised with a flower delivery on Thursday...it's beautiful. Thanks to all those moms that have been such good examples in my life...I love you all!

The Farm

On Friday after school I decided the kids and I should go to the farm that's just up the street from us and buy some fresh strawberries and a few other produce items. While there we of course had to check out some of the animals they have living on the farm!

It was a little windy...I love Bailee's hair in this picture!
We were hoping the peacock would open it's feathers, but no such luck.
