10 Years

On March 24, 2011 we (Alan and Kristi) celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. We have had a great first 10 years and look forward to many, many more years together. Our first 10 years have consisted of 6 moves, 2 across the country moves, 2 states (one state twice), 3 apartments, 1 rented house, 2 owned homes, 4 vehicles, 6 deployments and best of all 3 absolutely amazing children. I think many would agree when we say that we are a perfect match...we were definitely meant to be. We celebrated our anniversary by going on an overnight get away (just the two of us) for the first time ever since having kids! We had a great time and only talked about the kids a little bit! I am so grateful to be married to such an amazing man...a man who truly loves me and has many of the same admiring qualities as my wonderful father. I Love You Forever and Always Alan!

Heart Attack!

I had a "Heart Attack" on my birthday this year. No, not because of old age...but because I have a dear friend/neighbor that loves me! When I opened the door the morning of my birthday to go on my morning walk, I was very surprised to see our front door covered in hearts...32 to be exact! Some of them had sayings and quotes on them. It was a wonderful surprise and a great start to my birthday!

My sweet kids gave me my very first Edible Arrangement that I had wanted for forever...it was delicious!

My wonderful husband gave me a beautiful bouquet of roses.

Wax Museum

The 3rd graders put on a "Wax Museum" and we got to go and learn about all different kinds of famous people. Amelia Earhart happened to be our personal favorite!

Rock On Chick-a-Dee

We have a rock star in the making! Bailee is taking on her dad's musical talent and learning how to play the guitar. She's had 6 weeks of lessons so far and she's doing great...and enjoying it! I don't even get a headache listening to her practice! She's a natural and I believe if she sticks with it she'll be playing Taylor Swift songs in no time! Rock On Girl!

A Red Day & A Green Day

I know Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day are long over with but here are the pictures I took of the kiddos on those days. The kids were excited to get these special Valentine's Day gifts sent from Daddy who was very far away at the time. The kids enjoying the beautiful weather on St. Patrick's Day.

Great Wolf Lodge

With Alan's return we decided to take a mini family vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in Virginia...a super fun hotel with a super fun indoor water park. Although we had heard a lot about the G.W.L., this was our first time going. We left the day of Braden's birthday and spent the weekend there. What a blast it was! The kids had never experienced water slides before...they became big fans in about .02 seconds! Bailee and Braden did all but one water slide (The Tornado) and Brikelle worked her way up from the kiddie pool slides to the medium slides. Even Alan and I got to ride some slides together including The Tornado! Pictures of this weekend are limited because we were all too busy playing in the water! We hope to go back again soon!

Happy Birthday Braden!

On March 10th our Braden Boy turned 7! Feels like it was just yesterday that our chunk-a-lunk was just a baby. He is growing into a fine young boy! Braden got to have 2 days of birthday fun this year. The night before his birthday we had a party with Aunt Cami, the boys and our good family friends. We ate hot dogs, played some games, ate cake and ice cream and laughed...a lot! On the day of Braden's birthday Dad, Mom, and Brikelle took delicious chocolate donuts to his class at school. Afterwards we checked Bailee and Braden out early and headed to the Great Wolf Lodge in Virginia. Braden got to spend the night of his birthday and all weekend playing at the super fun indoor water park. As always he told us, "this is the best birthday ever!" Love you so much Braden Boy!
